General Intensive Care Unit

APHM – Hôpital Nord

Our commitments to supporting you:

You or someone close to you has just been admitted to intensive care.

LifeMapp is designed to guide you through every stage of an intensive care stay and provide the information you need. Like a compass, it helps you find your bearings and move towards everyday life again. Developed by the One O One Endowment Fund, LifeMapp is available free of charge to units that request it.

Welcome

Welcome to the intensive care unit at Hôpital Nord – APHM.

Our unit cares for critically ill patients who require continuous monitoring and advanced specialist treatment, 24 hours a day. It has 20 beds, a comprehensive range of technical facilities, and an experienced, committed multidisciplinary team.

We care for patients with serious medical conditions, life-threatening postoperative complications and complex emergencies. Teaching, research and innovation are central to the way our unit works, with particular emphasis on training healthcare professionals. Our aim is twofold: to provide patients with the best possible care and to train the healthcare professionals of tomorrow.

Our unit takes part in research groups working to improve care for intensive care patients.
