GHHC – Bastia General Hospital
Our commitments to supporting you:
You or someone close to you has just been admitted to intensive care.
LifeMapp is designed to guide you through every stage of an intensive care stay and provide the information you need. Like a compass, it helps you find your bearings and move towards everyday life again. Developed by the One O One Endowment Fund, LifeMapp is available free of charge to units that request it.
Dear Sir or Madam, A member of your family or someone close to you has been admitted to the intensive care unit or general high-dependency unit. The care teams will do their best to meet you and provide an update as soon as possible. However, there may sometimes be a long wait because the medical, nursing and allied health teams may be caring for patients and cannot always be available immediately. We recognise how difficult and distressing this time may be and wish to offer you our empathy and support during this period of vulnerability. Our dedicated team of qualified healthcare professionals does everything possible to provide your loved one with the best possible care in a safe and respectful environment. This application is designed to provide practical information, help you understand how our unit works and guide you through what can be a complex time. We know that you may have many questions, and we will be here to listen and respond throughout this journey.
