General Surgical Intensive Care Unit

New Civil Hospital – Strasbourg University Hospitals

Our commitments to supporting you:

You or someone close to you has just been admitted to intensive care.

LifeMapp was designed to guide you through every stage of an intensive care stay and provide all the information you need. Conceived as a compass, the app helps you find your bearings and move towards returning to everyday life. Developed by the One O One Endowment Fund, LifeMapp is available free of charge to units that request it.

Welcome

Our General Surgical Intensive Care Unit can accommodate up to 17 patients with severe surgical or medical conditions. Our medical, nursing and allied health teams bring all their expertise to providing patients with the best possible care.

To support you, we provide access to the LifeMapp web app, which will help you understand the intensive care environment and the different stages of the care pathway. Please ask the team any questions you may have: your presence, your words and your concerns all have a place here.

Our unit takes part in research groups working to improve care for intensive care patients.
