Your loved one is being cared for in the Intensive Care Medicine unit at CHI Meulan–Les Mureaux.

Intensive care is for patients whose condition requires constant monitoring, specialist treatment and, at times, medicines or equipment to temporarily support certain vital functions.

Throughout the hospital stay, your loved one is cared for 24 hours a day by a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants and many other professionals. We work together to provide appropriate care, ensure comfort and offer the best possible support at every stage of the stay.

We know that an intensive care admission can be distressing, disorienting and raise many questions. Alarms, medical equipment and sometimes rapid changes in a patient’s condition can be difficult to understand. Our team is here to explain, listen and support you.

Your presence matters. You know your loved one, their habits, preferences, personal history and what is important to them. This information can help us get to know them better and personalise their care.
